This 1974 AMC Gremlin is powered by a 304ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Maxi Blue over blue vinyl. Roof rails are fitted along with white bodyside stripes, a Holley two-barrel carburetor, and a remote-adjustable driver’s side mirror. The car was acquired by the seller in 2021, and subsequent work reportedly included an oil change in addition to installing 14″ AMC eight-slot rally wheels and replacing the tires, low-pressure power steering lines, fuel level sending unit, starter, window felt strips, rear leaf springs, shock absorbers, and miscellaneous body seals. This Gremlin V8 is offered at no reserve with a repair manual, spare parts, and a clean Utah title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Maxi Blue (F2) with white bodyside stripes that are cracked due to age. Additional exterior details include roof rails, chrome-finished bumpers with overriders, a replacement body-color grille, a top-hinged rear window, recessed taillights, and a polished “Gremlin” fuel filler cap added by the seller. The door seals, rear hatch seal, and window felt strips were reportedly replaced since 2021 and a remote-adjustable driver’s mirror was installed. The seller notes that bodywork was performed to the right rear quarter panel under prior ownership, though a dent remains. An additional dent is noted on the front bumper, rust is visible on the bumpers and roof rails, the front bumper overriders have pieces missing, the taillight housings are pitted, and the paint is damaged on the right front fender.
AMC 14″ eight-slot rally wheels were mounted during current ownership and wear bright trim rings and AMC-branded “Volcano” center caps along with 205/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by power-assisted drums at all four corners. The seller states the wheels were refinished and the low-pressure power steering lines were replaced along with the shock absorbers and rear leaf springs.
The bench seating was reupholstered in blue vinyl under prior ownership, at which time the carpets and headliner were also replaced. Appointments include a heater, wind-up windows, and a locking glove compartment. Work performed since the seller’s acquisition reportedly involved replacing the turn signal stalk and cancel cam along with the “Weather Eye” climate control unit, although the air conditioning compressor is inoperative. The seller states that the radio is inoperative. Noted blemishes include faded and stiff seat belts, a dent on the inside of the driver’s door, sheet metal repairs to the driver’s side window frame and door jamb, and rust on both door jambs.
The two-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket wrap and frames a 120-mph speedometer along with gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The parking brake light remains illuminated and the lens is loose on the auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 1,300 miles, approximately 600 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 304ci V8 features a Holley two-barrel carburetor and an open-element air cleaner and sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The engine and differential oils were changed under current ownership and the fuel sending unit was reportedly replaced. The seller notes oil leaks from the engine and transmission.
