@vishop_: Hahaha for Superman, sure. Jim was my favourite before George.
@vishop_: Ross's Superman always looks old, like between mid-40s and early 50s. I get that it's because his model for Supes, Frank Kasy, is pretty old.
@vishop_: But yes, Ross Supes is still pretty cool.
Lee's art is objectively better... but, at least in those scans, I feel Perez's work expresses the positivity and hope of the character more clearly.

Maybe because Frank Kasy makes a better KC Superman in the first place. His Brandon Routh Superman is fine.
@vishop_: I might just compare Lee and Ross's Supermen some time.
@ready_4_madness: Dan Jurgens? John Byrne?
Jim's my favourite artist for Supes but those two aren't far behind.
George Perez
Previously, Jim Lee was my favorite Superman artist along with John Bryne, but I recently read the "Adventures of Superman" by George Perez collection, and George Perez became my favorite Superman artist.
He might even be my favorite artist overall.
Also, that collection made me consider Superman being my favorite superhero.
I made this thread because one of the issues in that trade Action Comics #652 by Roger Stern was a 10/10:

@infantfinite128: Not all of the issues included in that collection were pencilled by George, he was just an inker for some of them.
@ghostodoofus2: Oh. Thanks.
I didn't pay attention, so just by going with the art you posted, Jim Lee.
Jim Lee's Superman might be the coolest looking superhero.
@infantfinite128: Jim Lee also draws a cool Batman.
@ghostodoofus2: Yes, but Superman doesn't wear a mask and he wears bright red and blue which are more cheery to look at.
Batman couldn't dress like Superman because he'd be instantly blown apart to smithereens, but that's not Superman's problem.

7 months but no Lee vs Ross sigh
Lee but Gary Frank is my overall favorite Superman artist.
I like Frank's rendition of him even though sometimes I think he is making him look a bit too scrawny but good nonetheless. My favourite overall is Byrne's I think.
