The Lockheed Have Blue were the prototypes of the F-117, a stealth attack aircraft developed in the 1980s. Developed during the Cold War between the United States and Soviet Union, Have Blue was built to counter Soviet and allied aircraft as in the 1970s, American and allied aircraft could suffer heavy losses against Soviet and Soviet-Bloc aircraft. Have Blue and F-117 aircraft were developed with facets or flat panels. This was done as energy could be reflected from facets from radar. This aircraft, HB1002, first flew on July 20, 1978 at Groom Lake, Nevada, several months after its first operational twin, HB1001, crashed. Improvements of the problems previously experienced by HB1001 was fixed on HB1002. It crashed on July 11, 1979, after a hydraulic leak caused a engine fire, failing the hydraulic lines. The pilot, Ken Dyson, ejected, and the aircraft crashed. Seats done by R.G. Landing gear done by Zhan.P
