Nearly two-third of voters think the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks changed America forever.

That's according to a FOX News Poll conducted at the beginning of August.

FOX News reports the poll shows 64% of registered voters think the 9/11 attacks permanently changed the way we live in the United States.

That means a majority of voters see 9/11 as more consequential as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, another FOX News poll from June says. About 50% of respondents voted that COVID-19 has made permanent life changes to the U.S.

About two-thirds of people, 65%, voted that they believe policies implements after the 2001 attacks has made America safer. In contrast, about 17% said America is less safe and 13% felt the policies didn't make a difference.
