you had issue after issue that were actual worthy of investigation.
why not the veto of the Yemeni genocide?

I would make it my job to point out that Pelosi was against impeachment until it exposed "their" candidate.
when it exposed bidens corruption,then it was impeachment time!

article 68 of the federalist papers where alexander Hamilton made the case that any president who used his office to impose on another foreign leader political favors is an impeachable offense.

so Pelosi has a case.
impeachment is not a legal proceeding,but a political one.
and even with the rightwing media trying to steer to the "quid pro quo",that is a secondary event,and irrelevant to proceed.

that is not the problem.

the problem is the politics.
this will not get trump out of office.
there is no way Pelosi is getting 2/3rds of the senate to vote trump out.

so we will all be privy t o a 4-5 month soap opera that will ultimately end with...nothing.

and will give trump the fuel to take the 2020 election.

even republicans are calling for impeachment now.

Hopefully enough of them are Americans instead of partisan hacks.

let me try it this way.

1.there is a constitutional basis for impeachment,pelosi has a case.
2.this is not a legal process,but a political one.
3.this will not get trump removed from office,because it takes 67 votes from the senate and that is not going to happen.
4.this will take 4-5 months.
5.trump will use this to fuel his base,and garner more political clout.he is a master at this.
6.i am not making a procedural argument but a political one.
7.pointing to 33 republicans to solidify your case is ignoring the case I am making.i already have agreed that there is a constitutional directive that backs up Pelosi.

so you will win the constitutionality of the impeachment,but lose the 2020 election in the process.

now you are totally within your rights to disagree with me.

I am saying this could backfire spectacularly.
