Bark Bay is located 4 miles (6.4kms) from Herbster in Wisconsin’s Bayfield County. This is a sandy beach on the shore of Lake Superior. The beach is 2 miles (3.2 kms) along the bay and is usually quite secluded. It’s only accessible from the lake by watercraft through the Bark Bay State Slough Natural Area. Bark Bay Slough consists of a coastal barrier spit, lagoon, springs, and wetlands between two rocky headlands along Lake Superior.
