Congratulations to the happy couple!

Richard Marx and Daisy Fuentes wed in a pre-Christmas ceremony in Aspen, Colorado, on Wednesday.

The ’80s icon – who is responsible for timeless ballads such as “Right Here Waiting” and “Should’ve Known Better” – took to Instagram on Friday to share the news along with gorgeous wedding photos of himself and his beautiful new bride.

“On December 23rd, 2015 the magnificent @daisyfuentes gave me the honor of becoming my wife. #Aspen,” Marx, 52, wrote on Instagram.

Fuentes, 49, also shared the news on Twitter.

“This happened & I couldn’t be happier,” she wrote. “Nos casamos y m s feliz no puedo estar #myhusband @therichardmarx #miesposo #aspen.”

The couple, who have been together for about a year, starred together in the sexy video for the singer’s 2014 single, “Beautiful Goodbye.”

“It made perfect sense to me to ask my co-writer on the song, Daisy Fuentes, to be my co-star in the video,” Marx told PEOPLE in September 2014. “In addition to writing the song with me, Daisy is the epitome of sexy, elegance and class.”

In the steamy video, Marx – who split from Cynthia Rhodes, his wife of 25 years, in April 2014 – serenades and seduces Fuentes.

“We shot it all in one evening at a hotel in LA with a small but amazing crew,” he continued. “If only making videos could’ve always been so easy. And fun. I really couldn’t love this one more.”
