Richard Marx Gets Steamy with Daisy Fuentes in New Video

Richard Marx may be single, but he’s definitely ready to mingle – at least in his latest music video, which he is premiering exclusively with PEOPLE.

The 80’s icon – who is responsible for timeless ballads such as “Right Here Waiting” and “Should’ve Known Better,” among others – is back with his latest, Beautiful Goodbye.

In the video for the title single, Marx – who split from Cynthia Rhodes, his wife of 25 years, last July – serenades and seduces Daisy Fuentes.

“I deliberately set out to make the sexiest album I’ve ever made, both musically and lyrically,” Marx tells PEOPLE.

“And I wanted the video for the title track, which I think is the sexiest song on the album, to be not only sexy but elegant and classy.”

As for his leading lady (who, based on their Instagram accounts, seems to have been at his side other times over the summer!):

“It made perfect sense to me to ask my co-writer on the song, Daisy Fuentes, to be my co-star in the video,” Marx added. “In addition to writing the song with me, Daisy is the epitome of sexy, elegance and class.

“We shot it all in one evening at a hotel in LA with a small but amazing crew,” he continued. “If only making videos could’ve always been so easy. And fun. I really couldn’t love this one more.”
