Deck Fire Pit: A Stylish Addition to Your Backyard Retreat

Deck Compatibility: A Crucial Consideration

Setting up a fire pit on your deck requires careful attention. Here in New Zealand, we all love hanging out on the deck, a common question we get asked is whether the Wizard Fire Pit can be used on a deck. The answer is yes! But the following needs to be considered.

Not every deck is the same, some use different woods, stains, paints or even composite plastic decking. In every test we have done, we have never seen an issue with the bottom of the fire pit or fire pit feet burning a deck. When using your fire pit on the deck for the first time, be sure to keep a close watch to be sure.

Your fire pit should never be left burning unattended, and you must watch out and be aware of the possibility of sparks, embers or ash exiting the fire pit. We are continually working on new accessories and we are soon to launch our Wizard Fire Proof Mats also, in the near future, we will have mesh spark screens available too. All with the goal to bring extra peace of mind.
