Re: How to enable hidden boot screen in Windows Vista
This just turns off any GUI boot screen. It doesnt change it. But i havnt tried it in Vista so i dont know why its changing it like you have shown.
Re: How to enable hidden boot screen in Windows Vista
Actually in Windows Vista, if you choose the "No GUI boot", Windows will use the Aurora boot screen which is really nice, but adds about 30 seconds to your boot time. Microsoft ran into issues when developing and and decided to hide it by default. In Windows 7, you only get a black screen.taza wrote:This just turns off any GUI boot screen. It doesnt change it. Never leave home without PeerBlock, or you might not return at all.

If you really want to change it you can use my little app: http://nw-os.square7.ch/nBootLogo%202.0.zip
Its in german, so here's a little help:
It supports german Vista, i'll integrate EN-US and EN-EN support soon.

OHHH! So that's why my Vista PC takes so long to boot! Haha, I'd best disable that when I get home, heh.Day2Die wrote:Actually in Windows Vista, if you choose the "No GUI boot", Windows will use the Aurora boot screen which is really nice, but adds about 30 seconds to your boot time. That's not hidden. That also doesn't answer my question. I didn't ask how do you enable it.niwax wrote:Just open msconfig.exe and deselect "no gui-boot"Panda X wrote:How's it hidden?
