Pop queen Miley Cyrus has hit out at Twitter trolls who branded her an "ugly lesbian,"
The We Can't Stop singer posted a heartfelt message to her Twitter account on Monday, asking her critics to stop calling her names.
"I get called an ugly lesbian a lot more than one would think. Or maybe not. Can u atleast call me an interesting lesbian. I hate the U word," (sic) she tweeted.
Poor Miley.
The songstress' plea was retweeted more than 20 THOUSAND times,and messaged of support flooding in for her.
"You're beautiful," wrote one fan.
"You are not ugly you are actually the most gorgeous girl in the world and I love you," said another.
The raunchy pop sensation recently claimed she only sticks out her tongue because she gets embarrassed .
The former Disney child star, 21, who 'twerked it' all over Robin Thicke during a performance at the VMA Awards, said she famously bares her tongue because she doesn't know how to smile.
And it seems now she's started, she just Can't Stop.
During a chat with American broadcaster Barbara Walters as part of her Most Fascinating People of 2013 selection, Miley confessed: "I get embarrassed to take pictures. That's actually the truth."
Miley has previously been snapped touching tongues with grungy supermodel Cara Delevingne.
She continued: "I'm so embarrassed because people are taking pictures of me and I don't know how to smile, and just be awkward, so I stick my tongue out, because I don't know what else to do."
Cheeky Miley might have to get used to a serious pose - without the tongue - after it was revealed she is set to become the face of Marc Jacobs for their Spring 2014 fashion campaign .
