12 Things Grace Coddington Can't Live Without
The Vogue alum opens up about why she doesn't get tired of fashion.
Grace Coddington has never been particularly impressed by celebrities. So it's ironic that she has become such a star herself. Although she was long revered within the fashion industry as the visionary creative director of Vogue, it was only with the release of the 2009 documentary The September Issue that Coddington—with her flame-red hair and insistence on artistic integrity—became a media sensation. She stepped down from her post earlier this year but, at age 75, she is hardly slowing down. The Welsh-born New Yorker still contributes to the magazine, recently launched a fragrance with Comme des Garçons, and this fall publishes her fourth book, Grace: The American Vogue Years (Phaidon), a compilation of her most memorable sittings from 2002 to 2015. "I don't get tired of fashion," she says. "If there's a secret to longevity, it's sticking to the things you love."
