Summer Holidays in Caravan – Room with a view

Summer Holidays in Caravan – Room with a view

We are forever experimenting with different and more affordable ways to holiday so we can do more with our money.

Caravanning was our latest escape.  Escape from the routine of where to be at a certain time. Escape from the “…wait a minute I just need to do that one last thing.”

Our caravan adventure last summer took to us to Central Otago. Dansey’s Pass, Naseby, the Maniototo.  We were excited, nervous, wary, intrigued—how would it go?

It was fabulous.  Sure, there were family team building exercises. No one told us how hot the area was in Summer.  Nothing screams caravan team building like working together to erect your awning as the glorious summer heat beats down on you, and the wind builds all afternoon.

But that is quickly forgotten as we sit in the shade and marvel at our own little “Room with a view.”
