With two 10.2 inch full-HD touch displays with a Blu-ray player and the Harman Kardon Surround Sound system (with the optional Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System), the rear-seat entertainment features are more or less the same as the BMW X7. The vehicle systems are connected to a 7-inch tablet (that can be used outside of the car too) with touch function integrated into the centre armrest.

Among the features it shares in common with the X7, the BMW 7 series also has the Adaptive 2-Axle Air Suspension that makes it possible to adjust the height of the car. Also in common with the X7 are other features such as six airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting and integrated emergency spare wheel under the load floor.
