This year, SJB celebrates 38 years in practice and acknowledges eight individuals’ contribution by announcing their Associate appointments.

From SJB: We work collaboratively from offices in Melbourne and Sydney, sharing knowledge and expertise across the four disciplines of architecture, interior design, town planning and urban design. This inter-disciplinary approach enhances our philosophy of contributing towards a more versatile, cohesive and innovative built environment, our success is apparent in the diversity of projects with which we are currently involved – ranging from residential interiors to large-scale urban redevelopment projects.

The five newly appointed Associates in Sydney are Georgia Hickey, Klaude Lania, Joe Loh, Marcus Lewin and Jonathan Tondi. The three Associate appointments in Melbourne are Beau Fulwood, Dan Weekes and Tristan Wong.

Georgia Hickey
Associate, SJB Interiors NSW
Georgia studied Interior Architecture at the University of New South Wales and began her career working on large scale commercial projects in Sydney. After joining SJB in 2011 her focus shifted to exploring hospitality, residential and boutique commercial projects at an intimate level.
Joseph Loh
Associate, SJB Architects NSW
Joe obtained his Master’s of Architecture at the University of Technology, Sydney. Since joining SJB in 2010, Joe has played an integral role in the design and delivery of boutique multi-unit residential apartments such as Casba, 17 Danks and Motif. He is currently working on a mixed-use project comprising 650 residential apartments and 1,900sqm of retail floor space.
Jonathan Tondi
Associate, SJB Architects NSW
Jonathan joined SJB as a student in 2006. He received a Masters’ of Architecture from the University of Technology Sydney in 2010. Jonathan specialises in high density multi-unit residential project delivery encompassing all stages of detail design co-ordination through to site construction phase.
Klaude Lania
Associate, SJB Architects NSW
Klaude studied a Master of Architecture at the University of Technology Sydney and joined SJB in 2008. Klaude recently completed the design and construction of 212 residential apartments in Rhodes and is currently working on the Bridgehill Residences, Milsons Point.
Marcus Lewin
Associate, SJB Architects NSW
Marcus joined SJB in 2010 having completed a Bachelor of Design and a Masters of Architecture at Sydney University. Marcus specialises in the design and delivery of complex, large scale, multiple stakeholder projects that require an in-depth understanding of planning frameworks.
Tristan Wong
Associate, SJB Architects VIC
Tristan graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2006 with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Architecture. In 2011 Tristan joined SJB, with a strong interest in design and project initiation. His strengths lie in identifying design opportunities and responding with creative solutions which have been the hallmark of his contribution to SJB over the last few years.
Beau Fulwood
Associate, SJB Architects VIC
Beau completed the Master of Architecture at the University of Melbourne graduating in 2010. He joined the team at SJB in 2011 and has worked on multi-unit residential, mixed use, bespoke homes and recreational/leisure projects across all phases of delivery from feasibility and design to construction.
Dan Weekes
Associate, SJB Architects VIC
Originally from the UK, Dan joined SJB in 2010. He has primarily been involved with the delivery of large multi-unit residential developments. As an accomplished project leader on complex projects, Dan has proven his years of experience are invaluable in ensuring that the design and construction teams continue to work collaboratively.
