Watch as lightning strikes the Sky Tower

Caroline Williams Reporter from Central Leader

Construction worker Andrew Stanley watched as yesterday's storm neared the Auckland Sky Tower. And then, just after he started filming, lightning struck the tower's highest point. Stanley feared for those inside the tower, but a Sky City spokeswoman said the tower is designed with a dynasphere to conduct lightning safely.
