The South Dunedin Street Festival is a very successful way of bringing locals together to celebrate everything South Dunedin.

The Festival celebrates the uniqueness and diversity of South Dunedin through a gathering of the community which offers a free fun day out within walking distance for residents of all ages. Each year it becomes bigger and better.

It has a strong emphasis on encouraging local talent, with stage performances from South Dunedin groups and musicians, the opening routine from the Bathgate Park nipper kapa haka group proving a big hit in the last festival.

The Otago Community Trust’s donation helped with organisation of the Street Festival in November 2014.
