A new snack range for Coon and Cracker Barrel focuses on ease-of-use and ease-of-storage in its packaging design.

Since its acquisition of everyday cheese brands Coon, Cracker Barrel, and Mil Lel from Lion Drinks and Dairy in 2015, Warrnambool Cheese & Butter (WCB) has been working on upgrading its dairy offering.

Cracker Barrel has been given a new look and feel to appeal to a broader audience, and Coon Colby, Tasty and Mil Lel Parmesans' shred ranges are available in an easy-open format.

WCB's general manager of marketing Ted Lawson said the company's rationale for the packaging was to provide a more “functional” option for consumers.

"We know packaging design and ease of use/ storage, plays such a huge role when encouraging people to reach for a particular cheese,” he said.
