Based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, the Joules brand was created by Tom Joule in 1989. In the early days, Joule started out selling wellington boots, socks and hats at agricultural fairs and equestrian shows. After more than twelve years of hard work, things finally started coming together and the brand has continued to expand into new markets. From the beginning, Joules clothing and footwear has flawlessly married colorful style and quality to create the best possible products for active, fun-loving and fashion-conscious folks. From Joules rain boots to apparel for men, women and kids, this brand does it all with a distinctively British flavor. Today, Joules boots and clothing are available in fine retail stores throughout the UK and the US.

The problem is that the USA women’s size 10 fits like 11 or 12. I wear size 9.5 to 10 and my feet were swimming in these shoes both in length and width. There was room in front of my toes and the heel was sticking out in the back. They might be a generous 12 in fit, I am not sure, but I am tempted to return these for an 8. If you have WIDE feet, you will like these. My feet are medium to narrow. No way will thick socks take up the space unless I go down two sizes. This is just my take, opinions may vary.
