Those who were out early could not miss the stunning view of Pihanga and surrounding ranges decorated with fresh snow which fell overnight.
There are some great fish about, responding to all fly fishing techniques which keeps the anglers happy!
Winter is a great time for socialising or spending time with family while getting into a few fish! I caught up with mates who live locally and out of town, which was super fun despite the odd rain shower which did not spoil our fun. I kicked off the day with Gabe, who is a new local, and quickly got into nice fish swinging olive intruder style flies which he created the night before.
Pip got into a few on nymph yesterday, and just this morning did well swinging rabbit flies.
