Kanye West has claimed that he is giving up talking, sex, adult films, and alcohol for a month.

Many will breathe sighs of relief to hear the 45-year-old rapper, who was recently reinstated to Twitter, took to the social-media site to reveal he is going on a “verbal fast”.

He wrote: “I’m not talking to nooobody for a month (sic).

“I’m taking a 30 day cleanse. A verbal fast. No alcohol. No adult films. No intercourse. In God we praise. Amen.”

However, before you celebrate, he also indicated that the “fast” may just be limited to physical interactions: “But my Twitter still lit.”

He concluded with: “I’m a bit sleepy but tomorrow…. : ))) I promise it will be allll love speech guys I promise (sic).”

These included continuing to deny he is an antisemite and insisting he is a truth-teller.

The father-of-four, who now goes as Ye, was suspended from the platform last month after posting an antisemitic tweet, but new Twitter owner Elon Musk said the site recently restored the rapper’s account.

Musk, who is a friend of  West’s, explained: “Ye’s account was restored by Twitter before the acquisition. They did not consult with or inform me.”

It’s believed that West is currently in the process of buying controversial right-wing platform Parler.

There has been major fallout for the rapper since his now infamous rants.

Adidas announced it was terminating its lucrative partnership with the rapper, causing him to lose his billionaire status overnight, according to Forbes.

During an appearance on the Drink Champs podcast last month, West blamed the “Jewish media” for several alleged wrongdoings.

He said: “Jewish people have owned the Black voice... the Jewish community, especially in the music industry… they’ll take us and milk us till we die.”

He also sparked outrage by claiming that George Floyd died from the drug fentanyl and that a police officer’s knee “wasn’t even on his neck like that”.
