Last week, Gemma Ward graced the catwalk for the first time since 2008, opening the Prada show in Milan looking as confident and radiant as ever. Seeing her sparked a Google-fueled reminiscence: Since she came on the scene in 2003, she's maintained a laid-back, natural appeal. It’s a look she maintained day or night, as proven at this party hosted by Vogue and Aerin Lauder for Michael Kors in June 2005. In place of a full face of statement makeup, she opted for glowingly sun-kissed, as if she had light molecules running through her veins. And since this weekend may be the last call for our own hard-earned summer tans, it's the perfect time to channel the Australian model: Go fresh-faced with clean, sleek hair, and let your luminizer do the talking. A few sweeps of pure black mascara, a sheer dusting of apricot blush, and a dab of model-approved lip balm are all you need for a stunning Saturday night (and if you're attending, say, an old friend's wedding, let this beauty look launch your own comeback). We may have to say goodbye to summer skin, but, just like Gemma Ward, it'll be back.
