1 transported after lightning strike in Jones County

JONES COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - One person was transported after getting stuck by lightning in Jones County.
County officials say an employee at a company on North Ridge Road in western Jones County was struck by lightning on Friday morning.
According to Jones County Emergency Operations Center Director Paul Sheffield, the victim was transported by EMServ Ambulance Service.
The person’s condition is not known at this time.
