TEMPO.CO, Sidoarjo - Oil and gas company, Lapindo Brantas Inc., said budget to drill new well in Tanggulangin 1, Sidoarjo, reaches US$3 million or around Rp30 billion. Public Relations Manager of Lapindo Brantas Inc. Yoyok Setyo Widodo said the budget is gained from its gas production in Brantas Block.
"We collect the budget and conduct the drill site preparation since we gained the permit," Yoyok said Tuesday, January 12.
According to Yoyok, Lapindo has 30 wells in Sidoarjo and 14 of them are still active and productive; eleven wells in Porong and the other three are in Tanggulangin.
"That’s why we’re increasing the production," he said. Yoyok asserts Lapindo Brantas’s working contract in Brantas Block will end in 2020.
He said, currently Lapindo is planning to extend working contract agreement. "Hopefully, we’ll extend contract agreement with government," he said.
