The brands’ owner, Kraft Heinz, has said that from 3 May it will label the containers “HM Sauce” and “Heinz Salad Queen” for the whole of the Jubilee celebration. The special labelling will be available as long as stocks last.

Research has suggested that nearly half (48%) of UK consumers say the 70th anniversary of the Queen’s accession to the throne will present a fun opportunity to eat more British foods.

Anke von Hanstein, senior brand manager for Heinz Sauces, said: “Heinz Salad Cream and HP Sauce are two cupboard staples that have remained firm consumer favourites over the decades.

“At Heinz, we are excited that two of our historic and iconic sauces have now been renamed to align with one of the nation’s most momentous occasions.

“HM Sauce and Heinz Salad Queen will be at the centre of Jubilee parties, picnics and parades, celebrating all things British over the Bank Holiday weekend.

“This is a great opportunity for our retail partners to capitalise on the occasion.”
